I wish I could go back in time.

And no, not to see dinosaurs.

No, I do not want to go to fix my mistakes.

I just want to watch humans evolve.

Because I know that from the start we were made in order to divide. You know, like right in two. Taking two halves of the resources, split them with the sharp stone blade. Divide all you have instead of uniting.

We all have the reason, but since we’re the ones who called it reason is it truly what we say it is? Our “reason” as we call it is to survive. But not as the mass, but rather as the individual. Everything we do on a daily basis comes back to benefiting ourselves.

Don’t believe me?

The first counterpoint I created to my own theory was friendship. We are the social wonders of the world, our communication leading to such advance developments. But friends are there to give us comfort, to help us and to share with us. Honestly everything a friend is for is a benefit. When we give to them to make them a friend, we are rewarded with benefits.

The second counterpoint is that of hating yourself. For hating yourself is an act, is it not? And this act clearly can not be a benefit, for it harms our life and our survival. Or does it? Doesn't it settle the issues within your mind? Does your doubt in yourself make you feel more honest? It may be complete wrong and a bad thing to do, but your mind is trying to come up with a solution with the millions of problems it has to deal with. And since self-hate is a theme in books, movies, songs and almost everything we see around us, our mind goes to that. It’s what we see, so surely it must work?

Right in two goes everything we own. Right in two so that we can have our own and not share. And then when we split ourselves, we become two more sets of people. On and on, dividing until humans have evolved into different sub species of their own with different beliefs, reasons, ideas, technology, and capability.

But yet you think by now we would stop before we truly can not stop this agonizing act, of dividing. Yet divide we must, and now for the fear of the future. We can’t bare to think of how it will be without the resources that we already divided, so we scramble for control.

Missiles pointed at each other before the world ends,

and missiles fired for when it ends.
